Once in Tacloban (Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport)
Ride a VAN located in the airport to Ormoc City
(You can take a BUS at Robinsons Terminal Marasbaras but would require additional time travel and expenses)
Drop off at Kananga Municipal Hall (Highway)
You can go to your desire location or roam around town by riding Potpot (P10 min fare) or Tricycle (outside town) or Bajaj/Habal-habal (outside town proper)

Manila - Leyte - Kananga
Bus companies are scattered all over Metro Manila especially in EDSA.
Araneta Bus Terminal in Cubao is more convenient as it near malls.
Check bus company schedules periodically as it changes often.
Trip to Kananga, Leyte is on a daily basis with varying time of departure.
You can take non-aircon bus (not advisable for long trips).
Or aircon buses (higher fare) with CR inside the bus.
Fare: Depending on accommodation and time of the year travel
Duration: more than 24 hours depending on sea condition in Matnog Port (Sorsogon)
Reminders:
Food, water and other necessities along the way is expensive.
There will be intermittent stops along the route
Bring extra money for emergency. There are times that bus is stranded
in Matnog Port (Sorsogon) due to rough sea condition
Ferryboat Duration: 1 hour & 30 minutes (Matnog Port to Allen Port)
From Allen Port, Samar:
The bus will continue to travel south reaching San Juanico Bridge entering the island of Leyte. Once it is in Tacloban, it will only take less than 2 hours to reach Kananga.
Manila Provincial Bus makes quick stops on designated bus stops along the route and pick up passenger on accredited pick-up stations.
You be able to see different tourist spots along the Eastern Nautical Highway (facing Pacific Ocean) like Mount Mayon.
You can also buy all sort of souvenir items and delicacies.
You can ask the bus driver to drop you off in the waiting shed in front of the Municipal Hall.
