SEAL OF LEYTE
The Province of Leyte is one of the country's historic provinces. The historical importance of Leyte is depicted in the provincial seal with an alphabet on the cross argent which is the ancient Visayan paleographic syllabary of the letter "L" which stands for Leyte.
The white cross represents the second phase of Leyte's development, when Magellan passed through on his way to Cebu. The upper portion is a perspective of the national Freedom Park commemorating the landing of General Douglas MacArthur and the Liberation Forces in Leyte on October 20, 1944 during World War II.
The stars around the inner circle symbolize the 41 towns of Leyte and the everlasting flame symbolizes the soldiers who died during World War II.

Music by Gani V
Lyrics by A.M.T.
Verse 1
In Leyte's heart, there’s a place we call home,
Where Ylang-ylang's fragrance roams,
Amidst the fields of sugarcane and rice,
Kananga's beauty is a paradise
Verse 2
A community united, a family strong,
In Kananga, we know we truly belong,
Matinud-anon , our guiding light
With resilient hearts, we shine so bright
Chorus
Kananga, Kananga, a town so dear,
Where love and hope are always near,
Kananga, Kananga, our beautiful land,
Where nature's bounties are always at hand
Verse 3
From geothermal to agriculture,
Kananga's blessings forever endure.
Our divine devotion, our inner strength,
Kananga's faith, we forever paint.
Chorus:
Kananga, Kananga, a town so dear,
Where love and hope are always near,
Kananga, Kananga, our beautiful land,
Where nature's bounties are always at hand
Coda:
May Kananga always thrive,
Our beloved town, our pride.
